Wilmington Lemon Pie

Things needed:

1 cup sugar
1 egg
2 tablespoons butter
Juice of one large lemon

Cook sugar, lemon Juice, and egg yolks in a double boiler until thick. Pour into a baked pie crust and top with meringue.
Make meringue with 3 egg whites and 3 tablespoons sugar.
Bake in a slow oven for 10 minutes or until meringue is brown.
